Our various ingredients (including fruits, almonds, hazelnuts, honey and fair-trade chocolate) are mainly sourced from orchards in Provence or in fair-trade supply chains, from producers that we have built trust with over very many years.

OUR ORCHARDS IN PROVENCE
Nothing should get in the way of finding and selecting the finest fresh fruits and nuts. The same is true of the plump and sweet almonds of Provence, which are the only ones that can create the required contrast in taste and texture between the centre and the coating of the confectionery. For our luxury gourmet fruit jellies, we select the best fruit varieties from the tree, only once they have reached peak maturity: Orangé de Provence apricots, Provence quinces, William pears from the Hautes-Alpes, Golden Delicious apples from the Alps and Provençal figs, to name but a few.
EXCEPTIONAL ALMONDS AND HAZELNUTS
Since it was founded, François Doucet Confiseur has selected its almonds and hazelnuts from among the finest varieties to offer high-quality gourmet confectioneries. We have become the largest buyer of French almonds and support almond production in Provence. In 2019, as part of the recovery plan initiated by the regional chamber of agriculture, we planted eight hectares of almond trees, located just a few minutes away from our premises.
Sustainability, traceability and fairness
In 2018, François Doucet Confiseur also took action to support sustainability in the cocoa and chocolate sector by participating in the Cocoa Horizons programme, which supports fair and sustainable cocoa bean production in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. 100% of the chocolate purchased by the company contributes to financing of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation.
